2026 QCS Meter Technician Training School (MTTS)
Quality Certification Services Inc. (QCS) will be conducting the next Meter Technician Training School (MTTS) July 28-30, 2026 in Ithaca, NY, hosted by Dairy One Cooperative Inc.
This school will provide training in the maintenance, operation, and calibration of all certified portable milk meters. It is an excellent opportunity for meter technicians, both new and experienced, to refine their meter care skills and network with other meter technicians. The MTTS provides classroom instruction and hands-on work with various milk meters.
Dairy One Cooperative Inc. Stationary and Portable Meter Centers will be used, with training in standard-flow, dual-meter, and fast-flow calibration procedures on all meter models along with refreshers on the weight-test method. In addition, working with on-farm meters & samplers and new developments in milk weighing and sampling will be covered.
Make plans to attend a MTTS to retain your certification. The auditing guidelines require a meter technician must attend a meter technician training school once every five years to retain certification. The QCS website (www.qcs.us) has a current list of all certified meter technicians and the last MTTS attended.
Please note that attendance is limited to ensure an effective class size. QCS is committed to provide this educational opportunity for meter technicians each year in a different geographic region of the country. In addition to training and support from QCS and manufacturer representatives, QCS will be providing instructional service and calibration activities, focusing on meter center design and upkeep, and effectively managing parts and replacement costs.
